Synopsis: Set on the edge of Borneo’s threatened rainforest, Savages follows Kéria, a young girl growing up with her father on a palm oil plantation. Though her late mother belonged to the indigenous Penan people, Kéria feels disconnected from that part of her identity. When she and her father rescue an orphaned baby orangutan, Oshi, her life changes further with the arrival of her cousin Selaï, forced from his forest home by deforestation. As logging encroaches ever closer, Kéria, Selaï, and Oshi form an unlikely alliance, standing together against the forces destroying both the rainforest and their way of life
