Synopsis:   In a last-ditch mission to get recognition for her talent, a non-conformist, forgotten artist persuades her psychiatric nurse to take her on a road trip back to where her story began – but with so many deviations into the past along the way, will they ever make it?

The film is a fictionalized portrait of the late “avant-garde and misunderstood” artist Audrey Amiss. Amiss was an artist who studied at the Royal Academy of Arts but was unable to complete her training after being hospitalized due to mental illness. She died in 2013, leaving behind a vast collection of artworks and writings that were discovered after her death, and subsequently donated posthumously to Welcome Collection.
