Synopsis: On August 23, 1973, a bank robber took several hostages at gunpoint inside Stockholm's Kreditbanken in broad daylight. As negotiations progressed over the course of several days, the bank employees curiously found themselves siding with their captor. What began as a well planned bank heist developed into a complicated hostage crisis with emotions running high, alliances challenged at every turn, and no one knowing whom to trust. The events grasped the world's attention and created the psychological phenomenon known as Stockholm Syndrome.
